My first organizing project was a joint effort with my sister when we were kids. We converted an outbuilding to a playhouse.

First we threw away all the junk, swept the floor and hung fabric over the window openings.  (Okay, it was done with hammer and nails, but who cares?) We divided the space into zones: one for tea party dishes, another for paper dolls and art projects, and a special place for dolls and doll clothes.

Everything had a home and we knew where to get it and where to put it back.  What we didn’t know was that we had grasped at an early age, some of the basic principles of organization.

That was only the beginning. Since then I’ve spent most of my adult life organizing people, spaces and things.  I specialize in creating systems of organization that empower people to bring order into their lives and maintain it with simple strategies long after I’ve done my part.

My business, Let’s Get Organized! was started in 2005 when my husband and I moved back to Tucson after living in Oregon for 24 years.  I offer free telephone consultations and you may check out references on my website.

The kitchen is my favorite room in the house to organize. I love to cook and help other people make the kitchen more efficient and fun to be in. Check out the kitchen tips booklet, "Organize and Love Your Kitchen! 89 Tips & Ideas" on my website. You can order for $5.50 a copy.

Let's Get Organized! serves both business and residential clients. I am a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and serve as co-President of Tucson Professional Organizers (2008). I teach organizing classes for Pima Community College in Tucson and Green Valley, and am available to speak to civic and social groups about the benefits, freedom, and how-to of getting organized.
